San Marino excellence Mastertag S.p.A. and the path towards ISO 9001 certification

Founded in 1996 in San Marino, but with roots in Italy, Mastertag S.p.A. has established itself as a leader in the plastic and ferrous metal stamping sector.

The company, created and long managed by Valter Rocchetti, recently obtained the prestigious ISO 9001 certification, marking an important milestone in its history.

Today, the legacy of Rocchetti, who passed away in 2021, is proudly and diligently carried on by two of his three children, Paolo and Margherita, who had been assisting their father in managing the company for many years. Under their leadership, Mastertag has continued to grow and diversify its expertise, expanding into sectors such as aluminum cutting and processing.

ISO 9001 certification and corporate solidity

One of the company’s flagships is its division dedicated to the creation, production, and marketing of extendable security grilles, a segment that has allowed it to further consolidate its position in the market.

Obtaining ISO certification not only demonstrates the company’s commitment to excellence and quality, but also pays tribute to the entrepreneurial vision of its founder, confirming the solidity of a family business capable of evolving and adapting to the challenges of the modern market.

International Certification: Valter Rocchetti’s dream

Paolo Rocchetti, Sole Director of Mastertag S.p.A., revealed:
“ISO certification was a dream pursued by our father since the beginning of the business, but the vicissitudes of the company always prevented him from finally achieving this goal. In the meantime, each time, we all learned and put to good use that brief journey, albeit unfinished, that had been undertaken with the consultant, aware of how important it was to grasp the lessons suggested by the standard.”

Quality at the heart of Mastertag S.p.A.’s corporate philosophy.

For Mastertag, a manufacturing company rooted in the San Marino territory, quality is not just a goal, but a true corporate philosophy.

The company has made continuous improvement its mantra, focusing on four fundamental pillars:

raising product quality;

constant process optimization;

cost reduction through the elimination of inefficiencies;

maximizing customer satisfaction.

Certification as a tool for evolution and improvement

Paolo Rocchetti continues: “During 2023, we embarked on the process of obtaining ISO 9001 certification with the aim of thoroughly examining ourselves and being open to change, confident that we would find a more efficient and organized way of managing the many activities that bring a company to life.

This initiative not only demonstrates Mastertag’s commitment to excellence, but also represents a strategic investment for the future, promising to further strengthen the company’s position in its sector:

The work was a joint effort and the organization provided valuable support in terms of development and preparation. It would be wrong to hide the fact that there was some resistance: change, even if it is aimed at optimizing resources, processes, and quality, is a natural reaction to the discomfort of seeing a habit change. The process is not over but is still ongoing, with less and less friction and more involvement from the entire company organization. Our customers have welcomed the certification with applause, as if the work that has guaranteed loyalty over many years of collaboration had been confirmed.

The strategic role of ISO 9001 certification

In Mastertag’s journey, ISO 9001 certification plays a strategic role not only in internal optimization, but also as a powerful marketing tool and guarantee of quality for the market.

This international standard is therefore a tangible promise of quality and professionalism, reassuring prospective customers of the company’s ability to respond effectively to their needs and specific requests.

In an increasingly competitive market, where trust plays a fundamental role in purchasing decisions, ISO 9001 certification is proving to be a crucial asset for Mastertag in its strategy for growth and consolidation of its position in the sector.

The Certification Audit

Finally, Director Paolo Rocchetti recounts the audit experience, sending a message of thanks to all those involved in the process:

“The audit was an opportunity for constructive discussion, challenging at times, but overall enjoyable because it was conducted with helpful and knowledgeable people who immediately understood our situation and therefore suggested the right courses of action.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all Mastertag employees, especially those who were personally involved in conducting and coordinating all operational, formal, and managerial aspects. But above all, I would like to thank our father, who taught us and gave us everything, to move forward,
taking care of customers and employees, believing in adding value to our daily work.
